Design problems Modularity:

Design Problem 1
For this task we were asked to design an alphabet using only a square a rectangle, and the quarters of a circle. It forced us to use ready-made materials to create something new. It was quite challenging to some extent, because we could not alter the scale of the items and had to somehow make it work. Yet it was interesting to find that even though there were such limitations, there were loads of options and it was completely possible to form most letter-forms.

Design Problem 2:
We were asked to use materials you had lying around to create a new alphabet. It was very interesting that something you would not expect to use for design can yield such interesting results. With their own aesthetic. Like here for example, I used some bits of fabric I had lying around and it creates a very varied way of creating letterforms.
Design problems Diagram:

Since a diagram is a way to portray information, it can be very useful to track information, in an interesting way. For example my design to the left might be a city plan, with all the lines being streets and the spaces in between them houses.
