For task 6 we were asked to use contrasting letterforms, experimenting with scale, contrast, composition and texture. Below you find my first attempt. I struggled with making it look interesting and engaging. With the F&S I thought it was interesting to make them together into one sign. With the O and the I, I found you could use placement in order to make it look like an eye. With the D and the A I thought it was interesting to use scale and the properties of the letters to create depth. Like the A is a road which leads to point A. Though I suppose in order to really achieve this goal I would have had to make the bottom of the A wider, in order to create real depth. The third letter combination U and Z I tried to play with texture but failed.

When I attempted again later with the letters HP (above), I added colour and a geometric shape to make the letters more interesting. The contrast between the dark H and triangle and the light P make the design a bit more interesting.
